BACKGROUND ON 65 ROSES:
This competition honors Taylor Sears (the inspiration for the 65 Roses competition) and anyone suffering from or supporting people with Cystic Fibrosis.  The competition will benefit the Taylor Sears Champion the Cure for Cystic Fibrosis organization that’s been on a tear raising money for the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  By the time this event takes place this year this local 501c3 will have just passed $1M in funds raised for a cure through its annualactivities and surrounding wrap events to the Taylor Searsannual gala event. In 1995 when the CF Foundation was founded, children usually didn’t live long enough to attend elementary school. Today the median predicted age of survival is over 37 years.  That’s great but we need to eradicate it!!! HELP US GET IT DONE!!!

Yoga at BCCF

Yoga at the Box
We are happy to announce that Yoga Athletex is coming to Bayou City CrossFit!

Join us for a FREE Community WOD on Saturday, September 20, 2014! Bring a friend, ALL are welcome!

9 AM – Bring a Friend CrossFit WOD
10:15 AM – Yoga WOD

This will be a great community event.   A time for you to sweat, stretch and meet the neighborhood yoga girls!  That’s right, Yoga Athletex is run by two chicks who were born and raised in the GOOF! Former athletes, turned yoginis, will be here to take you through a slow flow geared solely toward crossfitters.

Because of their knowledge, experience, and background, Patricia and Kalynn have what it takes to guide you through a series of asanas that are sure to prevent injury and improve your “game”.

I assure you, this won’t be your typical vinyasa yoga class. This yoga is the real deal for athletes. Just what the chiropractor ordered. So, come on out and start your weekend off right!

Namaste!
