What Is CrossFit?

CrossFit is constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement. CrossFitters are extremely diverse in their experience, conditioning, and lives.  CrossFitters include policemen, firefighters, students, business executives, stay-at-home moms, athletes, writers, producers, and martial artists.  We utilize CrossFit as our primary training method, and focus our students on optimizing physical competence in each of 10 recognized fitness domains:
Cardio-respiratory endurance

  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Coordination
  • Agility
  • Balance
  • Accuracy

CrossFit’s specialty is not specializing in any one fitness style.

We require you to think, use your brain as well as your muscles, learn, challenge yourself, try new things you never thought you could, and practice new skills that require you to be focused and present.  We teach you how to move your body with proper mechanics, stability, balance, and agility.  You will feel the results in your everyday life.

Classes are designed for scalability and apply equally well to all individuals no matter their age or fitness level – as long as they are willing to put forth the effort.  By varying the load and intensity, we start you at a level appropriate to your fitness level and experience.  This means everyone does the “same” workout varied only by their ability to perform it.

What we do is not easy; the workouts are vigorous, but simply put, IT WORKS.  You will feel better than you have ever felt, you will feel younger, more fit, and have more energy with less aches and pains.  You will accomplish physical feats you never thought possible and you will be stronger than you have ever been.

The beauty of our sport is that we are all in it together, motivating one another. It’s a sport where the person last to finish the workout receives more high fives than the person first to finish.
