It’s Pumpkin Time -Coach Erin

It’s Pumpkin Time!

It’s that time of year again! Pumpkin has found its way into everything from our coffee to our desserts and everyday meals. You want to get in on this fall theme, after all, fall and winter are times to get cozy, spend time with those you love and slow life down a little bit. And what better way to do that than with a nice slice of pumpkin pie, or pumpkin coco, or even pumpkin soup.

Pumpkin has so many great health benefits, like:
* It is full of fiber, which will keep you energized and full for longer, not to mention it will help make for a healthy bowel movement as well.
* It is rich in beta carotene, aka vitamin A, which helps to starve off cancer cell growth, heart disease, asthma and aging.
* It also contains loads of potassium (much more than bananas) and vitamin C which will help keep those muscle cramps away, balance electrolytes and boost the immune system too.
* It is exploding with tons of antioxidants that not only ward off diseases of all kinds, but keep our skin looking young and keeps the body detoxifying as it should.

But of course, when we are choosing our pumpkin filled fall treat we want to make a choice that will compliment the health benefits of the pumpkin, not outweigh them with chemicals and additives. I have compiled a list of tasty pumpkin recipes that will leave you satisfied, happy and healthy too. Now you can enjoy pumpkin season to the fullest and stick with your goals!
